This always gets rave revues and yet it is one of the simplest Sloppy Joe recipes! You can make it into Texas Hots by using it to top hotdogs...wonderful! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce (or my favorite -- 2 t. worcestershire and 1 t. soy sauce) |
1/3 cup ketchup |
Directions:
1. Brown and break up the beef in a large skillet. Add sauce to taste. Continue cooking until meat has no pink color. 2. Drain grease, return meat to skillet, and then add the ketchup. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add a little water, if needed, till the mixture is moist but, not soupy. 3. Serve on hamburger buns (or on bread as a sandwich). You can also sprinkle a little chopped raw onion over the top, if desired. |
