I found this in Let's Talk Scents, an appetizer and hors d'oeuvres cookbook from the Queen of All Saints Altar and Rosary Society. Number of servings is a guess. Don't use that canned cheese in this! Half-and-half may be substituted for the wine. Ingredients:
6 eggs, well-beaten |
4 ounces butter |
1 cup grated swiss cheese |
1 cup grated cheddar cheese |
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese |
1/2 cup dry white wine |
salt |
pepper |
cubes french bread, for serving |
Directions:
1. Warm eggs over very low heat. 2. When eggs are beginning to set, add butter in small pieces. 3. When butter is melted, add cheeses and wine. 4. Add salt and pepper. 5. Stir until thickened and creamy. 6. Serve with bread cubes for dipping. |
