This is a great crumble recipe. Of course it goes great warmed up and served with ice cream. I use less sugar. My husband is crazy for this dessert. Ingredients:
3 cups blueberries |
3 cups raspberries |
3 cups blackberries |
can substitute frozen mixed berries from costco. works well |
sugar to taste |
3 t cornstarch |
juice from one large lemon |
1 1/2 c large flake oats |
1 1/2 c brown sugar ( i used1 cup) |
1 1/2 c butter, softened |
1 1/2 c toasted, chopped hazelnuts |
Directions:
1. Wash and toss berries in bowl. Combine the sugar, cornstartch and lemon juice. Add to berries and mix gently. Combine oats, flour, brown sugar and butter. 2. Preheat oven to 350F. Select 9 x13 pan and brush with butter. 3. Add fruit mixture. 4. Sprinkle on oat topping evenly. 5. Bake 30-45 minutes. 6. Cool a little before serving and add a scoop of ice cream. |
