This is great for picnics and potlucks, and it's simple to throw together the night before. I didn't have cannellini (white kidney) beans so I used pinto beans and red beans. I also substituted hot dogs for the kielbasa. I wouldn't have thought to use pineapple, but I think it's the key ingredient. Recipe courtesy of Linda M from . Thanks Linda! Ingredients:
31 ounces dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained |
31 ounces white kidney beans, rinsed and drained |
20 ounces pineapple chunks in juice, drained |
44 ounces pork and beans (do not drain) |
18 ounces barbecue sauce, any flavor |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 lb kielbasa, sliced and quartered into bite-sized pieces |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. |
