Okra and Tomatoes Ingredients:
1/4 lb bacon, diced |
1 cup yellow onion, diced |
2 cups tomatoes, diced |
1/2 lb frozen cut okra |
2 cups tomato sauce |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons black pepper |
1 -2 cup corn kernel (optional) |
Directions:
1. SAUTE DICED BACON, add onion, and continue cooking. Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and stew, stirring occasionally, for 45 minutes or until okra is tender. Makes 10 big servings. |
