I've tried a bunch of low cal 1000 Island dressing recipes and finally found one I like that doesn't have a zillion weird ingredients! I make mine with light Miracle Whip instead of mayo. Cooking time is actually chilling time. One T has 14 calories, less than one gram of fat, 1 gram of protein, 2 grams of carbohydrate, & 56 mg of sodium Ingredients:
1 cup plain nonfat yogurt |
3 tablespoons pickle relish |
3 tablespoons chili sauce |
2 tablespoons light mayonnaise |
1 tablespoon onion, minced |
1 teaspoon white vinegar |
1 teaspoon mustard |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in small bowl and cover. 2. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. |
