An Appetizer submission for the Ready Set Cook The regrinding makes them fairly dense. Ingredients:
1/2 lb lean ground beef |
1/2 small onion |
1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke (mesquite) |
1 egg yolk |
1/8 cup fine dry breadcrumb |
salt |
pepper |
8 pieces monterey jack pepper cheese, about the size of dice |
Directions:
1. Run everything but the cheeze through a meat grinder fine die together. 2. Form mix around the cheeze pieces and sautee. 3. Stick with toothpicks for nibbles. |
