This is just a good way that I use to cook real thick pork chops. It works with both bone in and no bone chops. The chops come out sooooo… moist :)
Ingredients:
4 11/2 inch thick pork chops
1 cup of your favorite bbq sauce
1 cup of water
unseasoned meat tenderizer
creole seasoning
paprika
olive oil cooking spray
Directions:
1. Combine the BBQ sauce and water, mix well and set aside
2. Wash and dry the pork chops and place on a plate
3. Sprinkle the meat tenderizer, creole seasoning and the paprika on both sides of the pork chops
4. Let the pork chops rest at room temperature for 30 minutes
5. After 30 minutes, spray each side of the pork chops with the Olive oil cooking spray
6. Using a gas grill on high heat, shear the pork chops for 2 minutes on each side (close the grill cover while shearing)
7. Preheat oven to 350 deg.
8. Place the pork chops in a Pyrex dish that has a cover
9. Pour the BBQ sauce/water mixture all over the pork chops
10. Place into the oven for 30 minutes
11. Turn the pork chops once after 15 minutes
12. Remove from oven and let the pork chops let rest, covered, for 10 minutes
13. Use the BBQ sauce/water mixture as gravy and enjoy :)
