People always ask me where I BOUGHT these from! They SMELL great and are SO soft! I've been making these since I was a teen. I got this from an old recipe book at church. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1 1/2 cups margarine |
1/2 cup molasses |
2 eggs |
5 cups flour |
3 teaspoons baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1 teaspoon clove |
3 teaspoons ginger |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Beat together sugar, margarine, molasses and eggs. 2. Add dry ingredients. 3. Roll dough into balls (1 inch or more). Roll in sugar. 4. Place two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. 5. Bake at 350 for 8-12 minutes; depending on how brown or crisp you like them. Wait a minute before putting on cooling rack. |
