Delicious spread on bread or crackers. Ingredients:
1 garlic head |
1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained |
1 (15 ounce) can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained |
1/2 lemon juice, fresh squeezed is best |
1/4 cup olive oil |
1 teaspoon cumin |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Prepare the garlic head for roasting: slice the top points of the cloves and remove the papery skin on the outside of the head. Place the garlic on a piece of foil. Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil over all. Wrap loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees - or until golden brown. Carefully open the foil and allow the garlic to cool. 2. Combine all ingredients (including cooled garlic) in TM bowl. Mix 5 seconds/speed 5, or until desired thickness is reached. 3. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately. Keeps in refrigerator for up to 4 days. |
