I got this recipe from a booklet from “The Mail order Gourmet “1997 The description said: “It’s simple but potent, and you can use it to woo lovers, calm wild dogs or quiet screaming babies”. I had to try it and I’m glad I did. Ingredients:
2 cups black coffee, brewed |
2 cups worcestershire sauce |
3 cups ketchup |
1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar |
1/2 cup dijon-style mustard |
1 1/2 cups brown sugar |
1/2 cup honey |
1/2 cup sweet soy sauce |
1 large onion, chopped |
1 anaheim chili, chopped |
8 garlic cloves, minced |
5 tablespoons chili powder |
1 tablespoon cumin, crushed |
1 lemon, juice of |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients, bring to slow boil, and reduce to simmer for at least two hours. 2. Strain. 3. Use liberally on any barbecue during the last half hour of smoking or grilling. |
