Ingredients:
6 tablespoon(s) salt |
6 tablespoon(s) sugar |
6 tablespoon(s) black pepper |
6 tablespoon(s) chili powder |
4 cup(s) white vinegar |
4 cup(s) ketchup |
4 cup(s) water |
1 bulb(s) yellow onion (large) finely diced |
Directions:
1. Combine salt, sugar, pepper and chili powder. In a large saucepan, combine ketchup, vinegar, water and onion. Stir in the dry mixture. 2. Bring to a rolling boil, reduce heat and cook uncovered 1 1/4 hours, stirring every 10 minutes. 3. The mixture will reduce almost to half, about 55 ounces. Pour into sterilized jars and let rest for a few days. |
