During summer school, our class creates recipes for smoothies. Each recipe is named after our favorite people. Since we also study weather, the drink is also named after a weather event. A palouser is a strong dangerous wind that blows into the Palouse River Valley. It is also known as a Cow-Killer.
Ingredients:
8 ounces plain yogurt
1 banana, peeled and chilled (freezer)
1 cup apple juice
1 cup fresh peach, diced
3 strawberries
ice cube
Directions:
1. Place a cup of yogurt in a blender or smoothie maker.
2. Add a chilled banana that has been sliced.
3. Add a cup of apple juice.
4. Add a cup of diced peaches.
5. Add 3 strawberries, sliced.
6. Add 4-5 ice cubes.
7. Blend until smooth.
