During summer school, our class creates recipes for smoothies. Each recipe is named after our favorite people. Since we also study weather, the drink is also named after a weather event. A palouser is a strong dangerous wind that blows into the Palouse River Valley. It is also known as a Cow-Killer. Ingredients:
8 ounces plain yogurt |
1 banana, peeled and chilled (freezer) |
1 cup apple juice |
1 cup fresh peach, diced |
3 strawberries |
ice cube |
Directions:
1. Place a cup of yogurt in a blender or smoothie maker. 2. Add a chilled banana that has been sliced. 3. Add a cup of apple juice. 4. Add a cup of diced peaches. 5. Add 3 strawberries, sliced. 6. Add 4-5 ice cubes. 7. Blend until smooth. |
