The Original Sausage Ball |

This is the original recipe from which the Mini Sausage Muffins were born. It is written on a small piece of paper that came from my wife's mother. Think it came off the back of a Bisquick box. Ingredients:
3 cups bisquick mix |
8 oz sharp grated cheddar cheese |
1 lb hot country sausage |
Directions:
1. Tear the sausage into small pieces (about pea sized if possible) 2. Combine all ingredients, blend together until it forms a ball and no longer sticks to the sides of the bowl. 3. Pinch off pieces of dough and roll into 1 inch balls. Place on a cookie sheet. 4. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F 5. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. 6. Serve warm. |
