The Gray Goose Inn is an English country house inn nestled in a stand of century-old oak trees overlooking picturesque Lake Palomara located in northwestern Indiana near the Lake Michigan shore in the heart of dunes country. Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
8 ounces cream cheese, softened |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
4 eggs |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
3 cups all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F and butter/flour a 12-cup Bundt pan. 2. Combine butter and cream cheese in a large bowl; beat until fluffy. 3. Add sugar; beat five minutes. 4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 5. Stir in vanilla. 6. Sift dry ingredients together; add to batter and mix well. 7. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until cake tests done. 8. Cool in pan 25 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely on cooling rack. |
