This is a great recipe for St. Patrick's Day or anytime. This is a perfect treat for entertaining! I tint the middle layer to match the holiday or event I am making these for. Ingredients:
4 eggs |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup flour |
16 ounces chocolate syrup |
3 cups margarine |
3 cups powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon mint extract |
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips |
3 squares baker's chocolate |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl mix eggs, sugar, flour, chocolate syrup and 1/2 cup margarine. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 jelly roll pan and bake for 25-30 minute Cool. 2. For the first topping melt 1 1/2 cup margarine and mix with powdered sugar and mint extract. Spread over first layer and cool. Next, melt semisweet chocolate chips, bakers chocolate and 1 cup margarine and mix together. Spread over second layer and cool. |
