It was originally passed to me from my mom, but I made a few edits to it to make it seem.... gourmet? Hehe. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
2 cups yellow onions, chopped |
1 green pepper, chopped |
5 garlic cloves, chopped |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (8 ounce) can crushed tomatoes |
2 (8 ounce) cans chili beans, mild |
1 (8 ounce) can kidney beans, drained |
2 cups water |
1/4 cup chili powder |
1 tablespoon lemon pepper |
1 1/2 tablespoons cayenne pepper |
2 tablespoons cocoa |
2 tablespoons ground coffee |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon allspice |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
2 teaspoons black pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown the ground beef. 2. Combine everything into a crockpot or soup pan and gently simmer overnight or for six to seven hours. |
