Ingredients:
1 sesame bun top, cubed |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1/4 cup sour cream |
1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles |
splash worcestershire sauce |
salt and freshly ground black pepper |
1 pound ground beef, 80-percent lean |
salt and freshly ground black pepper |
4 slices cheddar |
2 heads romaine, chopped |
1 tomato, sliced |
1/2 red onion, sliced |
1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. 2. For the croutons: Place the cubed sesame bun on a baking sheet and bake until toasted, about 10 minutes. Let cool. 3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. 4. For the dressing: In a mixing bowl, combine all of the salad dressing ingredients and whisk together. Add salt and pepper, to taste. 5. For the burgers: Divide the ground beef into 4 equal patties, season with salt and pepper, and cook on the grill to your preferred doneness. Melt a slice of Cheddar on each. 6. For the salad: In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients for the salad and toss with the dressing and croutons. 7. To serve, place a cheeseburger in the center of each plate and top with the salad. 8.
