I came up with this tonite. I love homemade burgers on the grill. There are so many ways to make them, but this was very satisfying. When I created it, I was thinking of things that I enjoy the taste of. This recipe has a little kick, but by 3 year-old ate it, and as she says I don't like spicey . So it passed! We topped our burgers with ketchup, mustard, red tomato, pickle, lettuce, red onion, and avocado all on a whole wheat bun. Enjoy! Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs of 85% ground chuck |
1 large egg, slightly beaten |
1 1/2 teaspoons mrs. dash steak seasoning |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/4 cup chili sauce |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1/2 cup cold water |
1 -2 tablespoon per burger crumbled blue cheese (optional- any cheese to your liking will do just fine) |
Directions:
1. Put meat in a bowl. 2. Add slightly beaten egg. 3. Add remainder of ingredients- except Blue Cheese. 4. Mix all ingredients. 5. For each burger you need two patties. 6. (TIP: in your bowl, divide your meat into 4-6 portions- depending on how big you want your burger. We made 4 big and 1 smaller burger). 7. Put one patty on plate, add blue cheese, then put a second patty on top, sealing the edges- that's one burger. 8. Assemble remaining burgers. 9. Grill to preference. |
