A tried and true Spaghetti recipe using ground lean turkey. I have served this to the most discerning red meat advocates and have wowed them. IThis really is a fusion of many recipes and trail and errors through my professional career.It has been a hit on You Tube. Ingredients:
20 ounces lean ground turkey |
1 large spanish onion, diced |
1 stick celery, diced |
1 small carrot, grated fine |
4 garlic cloves, minced |
3 bay leaves |
2 tablespoons thyme |
1 tablespoon oregano |
2 (28 ounce) cans dei fratelli tomato sauce |
pepper |
1 cup piave cheese, grated |
1/2 cup virgin olive oil |
Directions:
1. In large skillet brown turkey meat on at least one side in half the olive oil. 2. Add carrot , onion ,garlic,celery , and herbs.Cook till tender. 3. Add sauce and remaining olive oil . Stir and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. 4. Pepper to taste. 5. When serving over favorite noodles top with the piave cheese. |
