The Best Rich Buttermilk Pie |

A favorite. An especially rich custard, made with buttermilk, is poured into an unbaked pie crust and baked. A wonderful addition to the Thanksgiving table. Ingredients:
1 stick unsalted butter, melted |
3 beaten eggs |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
1-3/4 cups sugar |
1/4 cup flour |
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
Directions:
1. In large bowl, add the melted butter to the beaten eggs, whisk slightly 2. Add buttermilk, blend slightly 3. Combine sugar and flour, whisk 4. Add to the wet ingredients 5. Add vanilla 6. Blend slightly with a hand whisk 7. Pour into an unbaked 9 inch pie crust 8. Bake at 350 degrees for about 35-40 minutes or until browned 9. Remove from oven, place on a wire rack, cool |
