I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do. It always signals the holiday season for me. This makes great co-worker and neighbor gifts. Ingredients:
3 cups sugar |
4 eggs |
1 cup vegetable oil |
1 (1 lb) can pumpkin (this may need to be adjusted) |
3 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon ground cloves |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 teaspoon allspice |
2/3 cup water |
2 cups craisins |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, oil, and eggs; add pumpkin. 2. Sift dry ingredients together, then add to pumpkin mixture. 3. Add water, mix, and bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes in 2 large greased loaf pans. (This is not always exact when using different sized pans, I just watch it and test it occasionally when making small breads). |
