The Best Pinto Beans Ever |

~A southern favorite~ Ingredients:
1 lb. camellia pinto beans |
12 cups water |
1 onion, chopped |
1 clove garlic |
3 strips crisp fried bacon |
4 drops tobasco sauce |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Rinse and sort beans. Cover with water and boil gently for 15 minutes. Then start over with fresh water and let come to a boil. Saute' onion and garlic until wilted and add to beans. Cook for 1 hour and 45 minutes on medium heat. Add salt, pepper, Tobasco and crispy fried bacon and cook for another 15 minutes. |
