This came with a pottery pie plate I received as a wedding gift. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup light karo syrup |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup chopped pecans |
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 dash salt |
3 large eggs, beaten |
1 unbaked deep dish pie shell |
Directions:
1. Brown butter in saucepan until it is golden brown, let cool. In a separate bowl add ingredients in order listed, then stir and blend in browned butter. 2. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake in 425 oven for 10 minutes, then lower to 325 for 40 minutes. |
