I came up with this recipe when we had leftover baked potatoes. My brother Sam and I especially love them, but everybody else in the family likes them a lot, too. I use Shoup's Seasoning instead of the garlic salt and pepper, because we always get the big 4-cup thing of Shoup's Seasoning every summer at (where else?) the Indiana State Fair!!!!! Not sure where else you can get Shoup's Seasoning, as we've only seen it at the Indiana State Fair. I think it's made in Indiana. We love the stuff!!!!! (Shoup's Seasoning is a basically all-purpose seasoning we use for eggs, grilling (especially pork), of course this, and anything else we can think of. It's great!) Ingredients:
2 medium potatoes, cooked |
2 -3 tablespoons margarine (i always use margarine and it always turns out great!) or 2 -3 tablespoons butter, melted (i always use margarine and it always turns out great!) |
1/4-1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/8-1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Cut potatoes into about six to eight pieces EACH. 3. Melt margarine or butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds, depending on the microwave strength. 4. Add seasonings to melted margarine/butter. 5. Toss potatoes in butter. 6. Move potatoes to nonstick baking pan and bake for 10-15 minutes (depending on how crispy you want them), tossing once or twice. 7. Serve hot. |
