These are the best brownies. Everyone asks for this recipe. Ingredients:
3/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/3 cup butter |
2 tablespoons water |
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 large eggs |
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°F; grease a 9-inch square baking pan. 2. In a small bowl, combine flour, soda and salt; set aside. 3. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter and water. Bring just to a boil. Remove from heat. 4. Add 1 cup chocolate chips and vanilla. 5. Stir until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth. 6. Add eggs; one at a time, to the mixture; mix well. 7. Gradually blend in the flour mixture. 8. Stir in remaining 1 cup chocolate chips and the pecans. 9. Spread in the prepared pan. 10. Bake for 30-35 minutes. 11. Cool completely before cutting into squares. |
