I work in pretty much the coolest bar in Texas. One of my coworkers brought this bloody mary recipe with her and it has turned into a huge hit. Some people may not be able to come all the way to Marfa for one of our Bloody Marys so here it is. Read more . Thanks Yvonne! Ingredients:
1 big tin can of plain tomato juice |
30 shakes tabasco sauce |
2 tbs chipotle tabasco sauce |
12 second drizzle of soy sauce |
10 second drizzle of worcestershire sauce |
2 tbs prepared horseradish |
tony chachere's cajun seasoning |
celery salt |
black pepper |
vodka |
lemon juice |
olive juice |
lime |
pickled things |
Directions:
1. Note: I'm writing this recipe like a bartender because that's the only way I know how so let me explain. 10 and 12 second drizzle just means that you pour that stuff out in a slow steady stream for 10 or twelve seconds. They don't even have to be full seconds, I tend to could a little quickly and have never messed this up. This is going to be fun. 2. Empty the tomato juice into a pitcher. 3. Shake a bottle of tabasco over it 30 times, or more if that's your style. 4. Stir in the chipotle tabasco. 5. Now add the soy and Worcestershire sauce. 6. Stir in the horseradish 7. Cover the top of all that the with the Tony Chachere's and Celery salt. 8. Now you're ready to make the bloody mary 9. Salt the rim of your glass with kosher salt, not necessary but recommended 10. Fill your glass with ice 11. Pour 1 1/2 oz of vodka in there :) 12. Squish half a lemon in there 13. Dump a little olive juice in there if you want to, I do 14. Fill up with the bloody mary mix 15. Push it around with a straw or spoon 16. Garnish with a lime wedge and whatever pickled things you have around. I haven't met a pickled item that didn't go with this drink. Enjoy! You have a whole pitcher of this stuff now! |
