The Best (8 Spice) Croutons Ever! |

These are the absolutely BEST croutons I have ever tried! This recipe includes a lot of spices, but the blend is so yummy!! It is a recipe from my university's coffee house. Scatter on salads or soups or just enjoy for snacking! =) Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
6 cups bread cubes, baguettes work well (approx. 8-10 slices of bread) |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon marjoram |
1/2 teaspoon oregano |
1/2 teaspoon thyme |
1/2 teaspoon dill weed |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon ground celery seed |
salt (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Melt butter/margarine. 3. Add spices to butter/margarine. 4. Pour mixture over bread pieces to coat. 5. Spread bread evenly on cookie sheet. 6. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. 7. Stir once while baking. |
