The 2nd Brussels Sprouts Recipe on Recipezaar |

We're trying new vegetables and I was shocked to find only one recipe for Brussel sprouts. Ingredients:
3/4 lb brussels sprout |
2 large shallots |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1/4 cup water |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Slice shallots and saute in 1 T butter for 10 min in fry pan. 2. Add 2 t sugar and 1 T vinegar and saute 3 min until browned. Remove from pan. 3. Cut brussel sprouts in half lengthwise, then slice lengthwise into 1/8 strips. 4. Add remaining butter and olive oil to pan. Add brussel sprouts and saute 6 minute 5. Add 1/4 c water and saute until evaporated. 6. Add shallots back into pan and stir. |
