This recipe came out of my trials and making it years ago and not being satisfied with it from other places. I love peanut noodles a lot and so do most of my friends. This recipe however is not exact in any sense even though it tries to be, adjust your recipe to suite your tastes. Maybe you like it sweeter add more hosin sauce or maybe it is not quite salty enough so add more soy sauce...you get the idea Ingredients:
3/4 cup peanut butter (chunky or creamy doesn't matter) |
3 -4 tablespoons soy sauce (not carmel color and sodium benzoate) |
2 1/2 tablespoons hoisin sauce (not high fructose corn goop but fermented soybeans) |
1 -100 tablespoon sriracha sauce or 1 -100 tablespoon your favorite hot sauce or 1 -100 tablespoon chili sauce |
1 minced garlic clove |
water (to thin out the sauce use as much or as little as you need) or coconut milk |
Directions:
1. Take all ingredients and mix them together in a small pot on medium heat until all mixed and hot (and garlic is cooked) add more water if things are still a bit thick. (if it starts to boil turn the heat down and usually you will need to add more water sometimes not). 2. Serve over pasta or noodles of some sort and add some stirfried veggies/tofu for a fuller meal. |
