Thai red leaves can be hard to find, but are well worth it for this sweet, creamy treat. Recipe from AOL Food. Ingredients:
6 cups water |
1 cup thai tea leaves |
3/4 cup sugar |
6 tablespoons cream |
6 tablespoons condensed milk |
Directions:
1. Boil the water and pour over the tea leaves. 2. Let steep for 3-5 minutes, until the mixture is a bright orange color. 3. Strain (or remove) bags into a clean pitcher. 4. Add the sugar and stir until it dissolves. 5. Cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate. 6. Fill 6 tall glasses with crushed ice and fill 3/4 with tea. 7. Add 1 tb condensed milk to each glass, and swirl with a spoon. 8. Delicious seasoned with star anise, cinnamon, and vanilla. |
