Thai Hot BBQ Rib Wing Everything Sauce |

This is one of those good on everything sauces . It is based on a recipe that just came out in my favorite cooking magazine for spicy thai chicken wings ( fried wings tossed in this sauce) . It is excellent with the wings and I made beef ribs tonight with this sauce and they were incredible. The original calls for shallots - I have not bothered adding them since this is great without . When I was out of fresh tomatoes I used a comparable amount of diced canned ones. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons oil |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
1 small onion, minced |
2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped |
1 cup ketchup |
1 -2 tablespoon sriracha hot sauce |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon oyster sauce |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 tablespoon chinese wine or 1 tablespoon sherry wine |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium high heat. 2. Add garlic and onion and cook stirring until golden brown, about 8 minutes. 3. Add tomatoes and cook , stirring until broken down and smooth, about 4 minutes. 4. Add ketchup,sriracha, soy sauce, sugar, and oyster sauce. Cook Stirring until thickened , about 6 minutes. 5. Stir in chinese cooking wine. 6. Enjoy ! |
