I have never made this but I have heard toasting rice makes a more nutty flavor. Ingredients:
1 cup uncooked rice |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 1/2 cups water |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Spread rice in a shallow pan with sides. 3. Bake in oven stirring often until rice becomes golden colored. 4. Cool. 5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 6. Place rice in a casserole dish. 7. Add salt and water. 8. Cover dish. 9. Cook 30 minutes in oven. 10. Serve with butter. |
