Texas Style Stuffed Jalapenos |

Here is a wonderful regional dish I came across at a local grill in San Antonio Texas a few years back. The spice from the jalapeno with the coolness of the cheese filling was fantastic! These are not battered and fried, so have two! Read more ! Ingredients:
8 large jalapenos |
1 pkg cream cheese, softened |
1 cup cheddar cheese |
dash of garlic powder |
dash of salt |
4 slices of hickory bacon, cut in half |
sour cream for dipping |
Directions:
1. Split jalapenos 3/4 quarters and remove the seeds. Mix Cream Cheese and Cheddar together adding spices. 2. Wash your hands after handling the peppers please! (no burns when you touch your eyes or face!!!!!) 3. Stuff peppers generously and place in baking dish. Wrap peppers with slice of bacon. Use toothpicks to keep in place. 4. Bake at 450 till bacon is crisp. |
