This is another recipe clipping that Mom collected. I am sure there is one here on Zaar, but I just want to put it here for safe keeping. These are all cut out of magazines and I have no idea which magazine or paper they came from. Some are even newspaper clippings. This recipe was submitted by Ada Murrah of Muleshoe Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups cornmeal |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/3 cup shortening, melted |
cream style corn |
2 eggs |
1 (6 ounce) can green chilies, chopped and drained |
1 cup cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except chiles and cheese. 2. Pour half batter into a 9 X 9 pan. 3. Make a layer with half the chiles, sprinkle with haf. 4. lf the cheese. 5. Add remaining batter and top with remaining chiles and add remaining cheese. 6. Bake for 45 min at 400* or until firm and golden brown. |
