Texas Style Chili...sort Of |

If you like a hearty chili and you're sick and tired of all the beans...this is your lucky day. Ingredients:
4 (14 ounce) cans beef stock |
2 (14 ounce) cans diced tomatoes |
1 (4 ounce) can green chilies |
1 large white onion |
1 yellow pepper |
1 orange bell pepper |
3 lbs lean ground beef |
1 lb hot italian sausage |
1 lb thick cut maple bacon |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic |
1/4 teaspoon paprika |
1/4 teaspoon onion powder |
1 teaspoon white pepper |
3 ounces chili powder |
Directions:
1. .Brown ground beef and sausage, drain fat and set aside. 2. Cook bacon, drain fat and set aside. 3. Use a dutch oven or large stew pot and add stock,tomatoes,green chilies and spices. bring to a boil. 4. Chop peppers and onion, add to the pot, return to boil. 5. Add beef,sausage and bacon to the pot, return to boil. 6. Reduce heat and simmer until the mixture thickens to your liking. |
