Yummie and moist, travels well, keeps well and I never bring home any.. Enjoy! Ingredients:
bring to a boil 1 c. water, 2 sticks margarine (not country crock or spread.. far to much water...) can use butter flavor crisco |
4t. cocoa |
1tsp. vanilla.. |
pour this over |
2 c. flour |
2 c. sugar |
1 tbs. cinnamon |
1 tsp baking soda.. |
mix well then add |
2 eggs beaten |
1/2 c. buttermilk. if you don't have buttermilk, put 1 tbs vinegar in 1/2 cup measure fill with milk let set ill gets chunky.. this is sour milk.. |
mix and bake 375 degrees for 20 to 25 min in a greased cookie sheet with sides |
icing. |
boil |

6t. milk |

add one box or so of confectioners - powdered sugar |
add 1 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans. optional.. but good if you have them |
ice while cake is still warm. |
