From the heart of Iowa Ingredients:
3 onions, sliced |
1 green pepper, minced |
3 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 lb ground beef |
2 cups tomatoes, cooked |
1/2 cup rice, uncooked |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper (to taste) |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Saute onions and green pepper, add meat & fry until mixture falls apart. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. 3. Pour into a greased 2 quart baking dish. 4. cover and bake 1 hour. Remove the lid the last 15 minutes of baking time. |
