I usually add 1/2 cup of Hellman's mayonnaise. It makes the dip creamier. And a couple of shakes of Tabasco will give it some pizazz! From the kitchen of Tona Thornburg Court, Bridgeton MO. Ingredients:
2 ripe avocados |
1/2 medium onion, finely diced |
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
1 small tomato, finely diced |
1 small garlic clove, finely diced |
1/2 tablespoon salt |
2 sprigs fresh cilantro, minced |
Directions:
1. Cut avocados in half and remove pits. 2. Scoop avocado pulp into bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice. 3. Mash pulp with fork and stir in remaining ingredients until well-blended. 4. Add salt to taste. 5. Serve with tortilla chips. |
