A recipe I got on a postcard. Very good Chili with beans. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 chopped green pepper |
1 large onion, sliced |
3 1/2 cups tomatoes (no.2 1/2 size can) |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
3 whole cloves |
1/8 teaspoon paprika |
1 -2 tablespoon chili powder |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1 bay leaf |
1 (8 ounce) can , pinto style beens |
1 (8 ounce) can mexican style beans (i use red beans) |
Directions:
1. Brown Together: Ground Beef, Green Pepper, Sliced Onion. 2. Drain fat. 3. Then Add: Tomatoes, Salt, Cloves, Paprika, Chili Powder, Cayenne Pepper, Bay leaf. 4. Simmer for 2 hours, adding water if necessary. 5. Before Serving Add: (I add about 30mins before done) Pinto beans, Mexican beans. |
