TEX MEX STEW IN THE CROCK POT This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Tinsley Estate in Venus, Texas in 1987. Ingredients:
2 pounds stew meat |
28 ounce can whole tomatoes cut into smaller pieces |
1 cup salsa |
1 bag frozen pearl onions |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
15 ounce can black beans rinsed and drained |
11 ounce can corn with red and green peppers |
1 packet taco seasoning mix |
Directions:
1. Put meat, onions, salsa and can of tomatoes with juice into the crock pot. 2. Sprinkle with chili powder and cook on high for 5 hours. 3. One half hour before serving add beans, corn and taco seasoning then cook on high 30 minutes. |
