A delicious pizza with the flavours of the southwest. Ingredients:
2 teaspoons olive oil |
1 onion, chopped |
2 teaspoons chili powder |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1/2 cup pizza sauce |
1 lb pizza dough |
1 cup smoked chicken, chopped |
1/2 sweet green pepper, chopped |
1/2 cup frozen corn kernels |
1 1/2 cups tex-mex cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and cook the onion, chili powder and oregano, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until softened. 2. Stir in the pizza sauce and set aside. 3. Spread the pizza dough over the bottom of a 12 pizza pan. 4. Spread the sauce mixture over the dough. 5. Scatter the chicken, green pepper and corn over the top, then sprinkle with the cheese. 6. Bake in a 425 degree F oven for 15 to 20 minutes. |
