1 medium chopped onion |
1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper |
2 tablespoons lard |
1/2 lb ground chuck |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
1/2 cup water |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
2 teaspoons chili powder |
1 (15 ounce) can pork and beans |
6 toasted hamburger buns |
Directions:
1. Saute onion and bell pepper in lard about 5 minutes or until tender. 2. Add beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. 3. Add tomato paste, water, salt and pepper, chili powder and can of pork and beans. 4. Simmer for 5 minutes. 5. Serve on toasted buns. |
