This recipe is always a crowd favorite, comes from my grandmothers recipe. Great for tailgating, or parties Ingredients:
1c. vodka |
1/2c sugar |
6-8 cloves of garlic, chopped |
big bottle of soy sauce |
5lbs of chicken wings (frozen okay, but thaw first) |
Directions:
1. mix vodka, sugar, garlic and soy sauce in a pitcher 2. divide chicken wings into two gallon sized plastic bags (or containers) 3. pour liquid ingredients over chicken wings, covering the wings 4. let marinade for atleast over night, 1-2 days preferably (depending on size of wings; smaller wings take less time to marinade) 5. preheat oven to 350 6. drain liquid from wings 7. place chicken wings in shallow pan (may need more then 1 pan), you want a thin layer of wings so that they get sticky 8. bake for half an hour at 350 9. bake for half an hour at 400 10. allow extra time, the time it takes to cook always varies for me, depending on size of wings and how many wings are in pan. Feel free to give the pan a good shake every now and then so all wings get nice and sticky and delicious. |
