From Sago Miyamato at Madison Middle School. Ingredients:
1 broiler-fryer chicken, 2-3 lbs |
2/3 cup soy sauce |
1/2 cup sugar |
4 tablespoons sherry wine |
1 teaspoon msg (optional) |
2 garlic cloves, crushed |
1 slice fresh ginger, minced |
Directions:
1. Cut up chicken into serving pieces. Combine all other ingredients and marinate chicken for 4-5 hours or overnight. Broil chicken, basting 2 times on each side and turning once. Variation: 1 teaspoons grated orange peel can be added or used instead of ginger. |
