Teriyaki Beef and Broccoli |

Simply flavored noodles, soups, stir-fries, grilled meat skewers, rice and an abundance of seafood, round the mix of Japanese fare. Set apart by quality, seasonal ingredients and beautiful presentation,make the food of Japan just delectable. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs slice loin grilling steak |
1 tablespoon cornstarch, divided |
2 teaspoons soy sauce, 30% less salt |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil, divided |
1 bunch broccoli, cut into small florets |
1 red pepper, thinly sliced |
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce, cooking sauce |
1/3 cup beef broth, 25% less sodium |
2 green onions, sliced diagonally |
Directions:
1. Slice beef across the grain into very thin strips, trimming and discarding any excess fat. Place in a bowl with 1 teaspoons cornstarch and soy sauce. Let sit for 20 minutes. 2. Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and stir-fry until tender-crisp, about 3 minutes. Add beef and cooking bowl, whisk remaining cornstarch with beef broth until smooth; Stir into skillet. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a platter and top with green onions. |
