Got this from a Southern Living flier.. I got my magazine yesterday made this last evening for dinner boy was it ever good with ice cream. Ingredients:
1-1/4 cups sugar |
1 cup self-rising flour |
1 cup milk |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
2 cups frozen blackberries |
ice cream, optional |
Directions:
1. Whisk together 1 cup sugar, flour and milk just until blended, whisk in melted butter. 2. Pour batter into a lightly greased 12x8 or 11x8 baking dish, sprinkle blackberries and remaining 1/4 cup sugar evenly over batter. 3. Bake until golden brown and bubbly. 4. Top with a scoop of ice cream if desired. |
