Popovers that pop up and over the pan to provide old-fashioned goodness. Land-O-Lakes Cookbook. Ingredients:
3 eggs, room temperature |
1 1/4 cups milk, room temperature |
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. heat oven to 450*F. 2. in small mixer bowl beat eggs at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until light yellow. 3. add milk, contiune beating for 1 minute to incorporate air. 4. by hand stir in remaining ingredients. 5. pour batter into greased 6 Celsius popover pan or 6 custard cups. 6. bake for 15 minutes, reduce temperature to 350*F DO NOT open oven door. 7. bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. 8. insert knife in popover to allow steam to escape. 9. serve immediately. |
