These are the greatest with anything. Perfectly tender, slightly sweet, just all around good Ingredients:
11 oz ap flour |
2 oz sugar |
1 1/2 tablespoon baking powder |
pinch of salt |
2 oz butter, cold, cut into small chunks |
1 1/2 cup cream |
1/8 cup of cream |
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 350. 2. Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl. 3. Cut in the butter using you hands. 4. Make a well in the center, and add the cream 5. Combine gently, and ever so lightly, making sure that you do not over work the dough. Over working the dough, even slightly, will result in tough biscuits. 6. Turn dough out to a lightly floured surface. 7. Using a rolling pin, roll out dough to desired thickness. 8. Using a cutter of your choice, cut out biscuits, and place on baking sheet. 9. Brush lightly with 1/8 cup of cream. 10. Bake for 15-18 min until light golden brown. |
