These have always been a favorite of mine to serve to my Craft Night ladies. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups margarine |
4 cups milk |
8 teaspoons yeast |
3/4 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons salt |
12 cups flour |
2 teaspoons bread spices (optional) |
Directions:
1. Melt margarine in pan. 2. Add milk, heat until 45 C (115 F). 3. Dissolve yeast in liquid. 4. Add sugar, salt, bread spices, most of the flour. 5. Knead dough until mixed well. 6. Rise for 20 minute 7. Knead dough. 8. Use rolling pin to roll out large rounds (about 1/4-1/2 inches thick). 9. Cut circular shapes, about 4-5 inches in diameter (use bowl or something circular). 10. Put on cookie sheet, use fork to make air holes. 11. Rise for 30 minute 12. Bake in oven at 440 F (225 C) for about 10 min, or until golden. 13. Serve and enjoy. |
